Team formed to review local footpaths.
Parish Councillor Bob Keys and Andy Mountjoy have joined forces with 6 other villagers and have reviewed all footpaths in and around Yoxall. A plan of all local footpaths has been obtained and an audit undertaken. Requirements have been identified and whilst Staffs C.C. Do not have funds available at present, grants are available and the working party will evaluate and prioritise requirements before applying for a grant.
UPDATE.
The footpath crossing Woodlane Farm has been inspected by SCC as it has been obstructed . The owner has agreed to rectify the problem . Also a footpath at Back Lane has caused the landowner a problem regarding its usage and a meeting will be held to address the issue.
Two footpaths either side of Alexandra Drive are still owned by Bovis Homes and we have applied to ESBC for assistance in clearing both footpaths by contacting Bovis to secure funds to do the work.
The early findings of the audit show that at least 10 new stiles are required and I shall be exploring grants and other funding for the project.
